Editorial policy

PublishMyBlog is a news publication for people who build, grow and earn from websites. We report on AI, search, website tools, marketing technology, creator publishing and the software companies behind them, and we explain what each change means for the people running sites.

How we report

We go to the primary record first: company announcements, product documentation, changelogs, help-centre updates, earnings calls, filings and the products themselves. When a story rests on a claim, we trace it to where it was first made and say who made it.

When another outlet broke the news or did the original reporting, we credit it by name and link to it.

Analysis and opinion

Reporting tells you what happened. Every story also tells you who it affects and what to do about it. The Why it matters section is the editor’s analysis, drawn from ten years of hands-on work in SEO, paid search and AI search. It is always labelled, and it is kept separate from the facts above it.

Independence

Companies we cover don’t review, approve or see stories before they’re published. We change a published story only to fix an error or add new facts, never because a company asked us to soften it.

Contributed articles go through the same editing and fact-checking as our own.

How we use AI

We use software, including AI tools, to monitor the companies and publications we follow and to help prepare first drafts. A human editor checks every fact against the primary record, writes the analysis and approves every story. Nothing is published automatically.

Corrections and updates

We fix errors as soon as we find them. When a correction changes the meaning of a story, we add a note saying what changed. When the facts move on, we update the article and show the date it was updated under the headline.
