Google AI Mode Now Links to Home Service Bookings and Quotes
The platform you run your jobs on now decides whether AI Mode can book you, and each one sets different rules.

Google’s AI Mode now sends U.S. searchers straight to the booking and quote forms of home service businesses, through partner platforms like Jobber, Housecall Pro and Angi.
Run a cleaning or handyman business? Then the software or marketplace you use decides whether AI Mode can book you at all.
What Google showed
Robby Stein, a Google Search product VP, announced it on X on November 4, according to Search Engine Journal’s report. It’s live in the U.S. now.
He named Jobber, Housecall Pro, Angi and Thumbtack as partners, with ServiceTitan coming soon.
In Google’s demo video, someone asks AI Mode to find a handyman who can come by the next day and build a bed and a dresser.
AI Mode lists local pros with ratings, and the first one shows two open time slots.
Some pros take a booking. Others take quotes.
Google first promised booking links for more kinds of local services at I/O in May, along with Google calling businesses in home repair, beauty and pet care for you.
How each platform gets you in
Each partner has published its own rules, and they don’t match:
- Jobber: you need a paid plan (trials don’t count), a full address in Jobber, and a Google Business Profile linked to Jobber at the same location.
- Housecall Pro: every pro is enrolled automatically, slots come from your calendar, and you don’t need a Google Business Profile. Its release still says “coming soon”.
- Angi: a homeowner who picks an Angi pro lands on that pro’s Angi profile to request a quote, says Angi’s announcement.
- Thumbtack: Google named it, but it hadn’t announced a plan in a press release as of November 4.
Once Google matches your Jobber account, which Jobber says usually takes a few days, a Book Online button appears on your Google Business Profile and opens your Jobber booking form.
No lead fees.
Both Jobber and Housecall Pro say you pay no lead fee on requests from AI Mode, and Housecall Pro’s co-founder summed it up as “One request, one Pro, no lead fee, no bidding war.”
In practice, requests land in Jobber with no extra admin, and Jobber’s announcement says you can review and approve them before they hit your schedule.
Assessments confirm themselves unless you’ve turned on approval for each one.
Why it matters
My read: on Jobber and Housecall Pro, this works like Local Services Ads without the bill. With those ads, Google counts a booking request as a lead you pay for in the U.S. and Canada.
That said, Angi is less clear. Its pros pay fees for customer matches, and its announcement doesn’t say whether AI Mode quote requests count.
Still, being on a partner platform doesn’t mean AI Mode will show you. Stein didn’t say how AI Mode picks businesses to show.
On Jobber? Then check these:
- your Jobber address matches your Google Business Profile
- you collect reviews
- you use a booking form, not just a request form (Jobber says both can help you get recommended more often)
Angi pros, keep your Angi profile current. It’s where AI Mode sends homeowners to request a quote. Check it today.
So if you already check restaurant ordering links for clients, add booking platforms to that review. I see it as the next step after Google moved inline links higher in AI Mode.
On none of these platforms? Then you’ve got no direct booking route in AI Mode.
Common Questions
Can home service businesses get booked through Google AI Mode in the U.S.?
Yes, through partner platforms. Google named Jobber, Housecall Pro, Angi and Thumbtack, with ServiceTitan coming soon, and a business on none of them has no direct booking route in AI Mode.
Does Jobber charge a lead fee for bookings that come from Google AI Mode?
No. Jobber says requests from AI Mode arrive like any other online booking with no lead fee, though you need a paid Jobber plan and a Google Business Profile linked to it.
Do I need a Google Business Profile to appear in AI Mode through Housecall Pro?
Not according to Housecall Pro’s partner page, which says pros are enrolled automatically with slots from their calendar. Its release still calls the integration coming soon for eligible U.S. customers.
