Salesforce Marketing Cloud Winter '27 Puts Campaign Agent in GA

The Salesforce overview marks Campaign Agent GA now, but CGC Agency says Salesforce's Dreamforce recap gave no availability dates.

The Salesforce Winter ‘27 overview marks Campaign Agent as generally available now, under Agentic Campaigns. Campaign Agent appears in the Winter ‘27 release overview, and CGC Agency says it assembles campaigns, recommends audiences and creates personalized content.

Salesforce highlighted several other features at Dreamforce, and CGC Agency says the recap gives no availability dates for them. So if you’ve been waiting on those promises, check your org now.

What’s live in Marketing Cloud Next

The Salesforce Winter ‘27 release overview lists its features and picks a few for marketers.

The overview marks Campaign Agent GA now, under Agentic Campaigns. Salesforce says marketers can “set the outcome they want and let the agent orchestrate the rest.” CGC says the agent “evaluates customer context and intent.”

CGC Agency’s teaser for a separate article says Winter 27 brings a Content Agent to Marketing Cloud Next. Its Dreamforce analysis doesn’t mention a content agent at all.

The other items on the list, as CGC describes them, are:

  • Account Discovery, showing engagement across buying committees
  • Personalized Paths in Flow, an experience that reacts to behavior instead of following a fixed journey
  • Mobile Flash Sending, one of the adaptive channels
  • Headless Marketing, which exposes Marketing Cloud to external tools through MCP servers

What Campaign Agent costs you

No price is given in the sources behind this article, so check with Salesforce before you budget. Check your edition first.

Still on Marketing Cloud Engagement? CGC Agency says that if you are, nothing forces you to migrate tomorrow.

Why it matters

CGC Agency’s Dreamforce analysis noted Salesforce gave no dates back then.

CGC also notes the agent prioritizes between competing campaigns, and it suppresses messages. If your consent and suppression data is scattered, the agent inherits the mess.

Before you switch Campaign Agent on in Marketing Cloud Next, check three things:

  • who can launch a campaign from ChatGPT or Claude
  • where your consent and suppression lists live
  • which edition you’re on, and what extra agent runs cost

Then there’s MCP, which I’d watch most.

Salesforce’s Headless Marketing text says the feature works “via the Headless 360 MCP Server connecting MC Next to any AI agent.” If your team can run Marketing Cloud Next through that server, a lot of people who never logged in to Marketing Cloud could suddenly send to your lists.

That’s handy for a busy team, but it’s risky if nobody has set permissions.

So start small: one goal, one audience, one channel.

Then run it next to your own hand-built journey for a full month, and only give it a second goal if the numbers hold up against what your team would have sent anyway.

On HubSpot or Klaviyo? This skips you, for now.
